About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Armourer to join our team at Babcock International Group. As an Armourer, you will play a critical role in the maintenance and repair of specialist equipment, ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out technical work to the required standard and specification, as detailed on the job card, in accordance with customer requirements, current regulations, and company processes.
  • Diagnose, inspect, and assess weapon systems, vehicles, and associated mechanical, electrical, and armour equipment.
  • Ensure accurate recording of job transactions and adherence to current processes.
  • Complete vehicle and equipment documentation, test certificates, and reports to current standards.
  • Ensure stores and equipment issued to the job are used for their correct purpose and unused or new faulty material is returned to the supervisor.

Requirements

  • Competent PC user (MS Office, MS Outlook, SharePoint).
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to work on own initiative to assist delivery of site objectives.

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 in Engineering or an apprenticeship qualification.

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
