Job Summary
GSK is seeking a highly experienced Regional Medical Director to lead our Oncology Therapeutic Area in Europe. As a key member of our Medical Affairs team, you will be responsible for ensuring our oncology strategy, resourcing, and activities are aligned between our global organization and European countries.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute globally and commercially aligned medical plans for all medicines within the Therapeutic Area.
- Lead the development and execution of Phase IIIb/IV clinical development plans in the region.
- Oversee the scientific and external engagement strategy for the Oncology Therapy Area within the region.
- Enable a performance-driven culture with clear metrics and business improvement embedded into the organization.
Requirements
- Physician, PharmD, or PhD degree.
- Medical affairs experience in oncology/haematology, spanning clinical development and medical affairs.
- Experience of leading an asset in a tier 1 market and a regional or global role.
- Experience of building and leading a successful team and talent development.
- Experience of key parameters in the successful commercialisation of drugs, including knowledge of healthcare systems, medical quality assurance, quality improvement, risk management, and the interface to clinical development and commercialisation.
