Principal Engineer - Site Engineering

Westlakes Recruit is seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer - Site Engineering to join our team on a permanent basis with flexible hybrid working in Barrow, Cumbria.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee engineering governance and assurance for NDE, Calibration, and Emergency Response Infrastructure and Systems.
  2. Provide front-line engineering response for the above systems.
  3. Deliver site asset management processes to ensure a fit-for-purpose asset base across the site.
  4. Produce and validate engineering assessments to ensure equipment can achieve its required safety function.
  5. Respond to emerging engineering issues and deliver a solution.
  6. Manage configuration baseline, ensure an effective maintenance strategy, and carry out engineering health assessments.
Requirements:
  1. Degree qualified in a STEM subject or equivalent experience within Engineering.
  2. Engineering experience with systems.
Desirable:
  1. Exposure within the Nuclear industry and ionizing radiation.
  2. Understanding of asset management principles.
