About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Youth Programme Developer to join our team at YMCA George Williams, Southampton. As a key member of the Youth Engagement Team, you will be responsible for delivering evidenced-based and youth-focused programmes to residents and the wider Southampton Community.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and promote engaging and relevant activities and programmes on a daily basis to young people
- Support and mentor individual young people in their pursuit of personal goals
- Undertake risk assessments and support planning
- Engage with third parties to deliver specialist support and activities to young people
- Demonstrable experience of programme delivery in youth or community-based services
- Strong advocacy skills for young people with complex needs
- Knowledge of trauma-informed approaches
The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of £28,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits including employer pension contribution, 25 days holiday FTE, and cycle to work scheme.
