About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at OCS Group. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the preparation, cooking, and presentation of high-quality food to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Food Quality and Safety: Ensure the provision of a high standard of food quality, preparing, cooking, and presenting food to the highest standards in a clean, tidy, and safe environment.
  • Team Management: Supervise a small team of staff and be responsible for meeting budgets and managing cash.
  • Menu Planning and Cost Control: Plan and cost menus as per company and client specification, and ensure that all costs and expenditure are within the budgeted levels agreed between the client and OCS.
  • Staff Development and Training: Assist with staff recruitment, staff training, development, and motivation of staff.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that all staff are aware of and comply with Company and statutory regulations relating to Food Safety, Health & Safety at Work, Cleanliness, COSHH, Fire & Accident Reporting.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Practical experience in a quality establishment, management experience within a catering environment gained in contract catering.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Educated to GCSE level or equivalent, 706/1/2 or equivalent, HND Membership of HCIMA desirable, Advanced Food Hygiene Certificate.
