About the Role

BDP Pattern, the sports and entertainment division of Building Design Partnership, is seeking a skilled Computational Architectural Designer to join their Edinburgh studio's design team. As a key member of the team, you will work on various live projects, focusing on packages such as the facade, roof, and seating bowl.

Experience
  • RIBA Part 2 or equivalent qualification
  • Expertise in Rhino and Grasshopper is essential for the computational role
  • A willingness to learn and an interest in computational design is essential
  • A knowledge of Revit and Dynamo is beneficial but not essential
  • Any previous experience in Digital Fabrication/DfMA is beneficial
  • Previous experience on large-scale complex projects from RIBA stage 0-4 is beneficial
  • Freehand drawing/sketching

The ideal candidate will have a portfolio demonstrating independent thinking, creativity, and a broad range of technical skills. The computational role requires the ability to produce and manage complex geometries. Excellent spoken and written English is necessary for client-facing workshops and presentations, and the candidate should be prepared for travel within the UK and internationally.
