We are seeking a dedicated and caring individual to join our team as a Culinary Support Worker in one of our care homes. As a Culinary Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting our catering team to deliver nutritious and healthy meals to our residents.

Job Description

You will be responsible for assisting with food preparation and service, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety, and working collaboratively with the catering team. You will also assist with ordering food supplies, managing inventory, and performing other duties as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with food preparation and service
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen
  • Assist with ordering food supplies and managing inventory
  • Perform other duties as required by the catering team leader

Requirements:

  • NVQ2 in Catering or Food Preparation (or willingness to study for one)
  • Ability to work as part of a team and maintain high standards of communication
  • Basic numeracy skills and ability to maintain accurate records
  • Flexibility to work variable shifts, including weekends and bank holidays
