Job Overview

This role involves undertaking decontamination science duties, assisting Senior Decontamination Technicians in providing a specialized decontamination of medical devices service that contributes to the clinical care of patients.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out tasks such as receipt, disassembly, cleaning, disinfection, inspection, reassembly, packing, sterilization, sterile product release, and recording all tasks onto the department's tracking and traceability system.

Requirements
  • NVQ or equivalent in Decontamination & Endoscopy Decontamination
  • Operation of machinery
  • A working knowledge of keyboard, typing & computer skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Knowledge & experience in the decontamination of reusable medical devices
