About the Job

APUC Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Buying Officer to join our team and drive forward our procurement strategy.

As a key member of our buying team, you will be responsible for managing a significant portion of our procurement activities, ensuring that all activities are aligned with institutional and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage a diverse range of spend areas, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to contractual terms.
  2. Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, suppliers, and colleagues to achieve business objectives.
  3. Conduct thorough market research to identify potential suppliers and negotiate favorable contracts.
  4. Monitor and analyze data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks, providing recommendations for improvement.
  5. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement procurement strategies, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in a relevant field, such as purchasing, supply chain management, or business administration.
  • Membership of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) or equivalent.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in data analysis and interpretation.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
