Job Description

NHS Scotland is currently seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join their team in East Renfrewshire. This exciting opportunity allows the successful candidate to contribute to the delivery of pharmacotherapy services and play a key role in promoting cost-effective and evidence-based prescribing.

About the Role

The selected candidate will work within the Primary Care Pharmacy Team, collaborating with GPs and multidisciplinary teams to improve medicines management and deliver exceptional patient care. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for working closely with healthcare professionals to implement effective pharmacotherapy services, ensuring that patients receive the best possible care.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will require relevant experience in a pharmacy setting, excellent communication skills, and strong interpersonal abilities. IT experience is also essential, as you will need to utilize various systems to effectively manage medicines and provide high-quality patient care. Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) is mandatory for this position.

Benefits

This rewarding role offers a competitive salary of approximately £24,400 per annum, reflecting the new 37-hour working week introduced by NHS Scotland from April 2024. While some flexibility may be required during a temporary period, the base salary remains unchanged. Additionally, full training will be provided to ensure your success in this challenging yet fulfilling position.
