Job Title: Financial Manager for Government Entities

Salary: £58,000 - £68,000 per annum

We are seeking an experienced Financial Manager for Government Entities to join our team at Grant Thornton LLP. As a Financial Manager, you will be responsible for providing financial management services to local authorities and health bodies.

About the Role:

  • Provide financial guidance and support to clients;
  • Take opportunities for wider team responsibilities through training and pitching new projects;
  • Be involved in business development to develop new relationships and support business growth;
  • Oversee and develop your team to the highest standard;
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and team members;

Requirements:

  • Professional Accounting qualification (ACA, ICAS, CA, ACCA or CIPFA);
  • Post-qualification experience either in the delivery of External Audit to Local Authorities and Health bodies or from within a Local Government or Health finance function;
  • Excellent grasp of IFRS accounting standards and their implementation in the public sector;
  • Excellent knowledge of financial reporting in the public sector;
  • Project management experience;
  • Business development experience would be beneficial;
