Our Urgent Care Center

Located at 12 College Hwy, Southampton, MA, we offer convenient medical care for patients 18 months and older who require timely attention but not emergency services. Our operating hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm and Saturday & Sunday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

The Opportunity

We seek a full-time Medical Assistant to join our team, working Monday-Friday 7:30 am-4:00 pm. You must be flexible with scheduling needs and willing to cover weekends/holidays as needed.

  • Obtain vital signs and blood specimens
  • Assist providers in performing invasive and non-invasive procedures
  • Perform point-of-care testing on patients
  • Check-in and register patients
  • Process referrals
  • Order and stock clinical supplies and patient education materials
  • Transport patients and specimens as needed
  • Monitor the environment of care
  • Perform administrative tasks as needed

This role is part of the 1199SEIU Bargaining Unit at Cooley Dickinson Hospital.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Current Basic Life Support certification (BLS) from the American Heart Association required
  • One (1) year technical/vocational training school program or one (1) to three (3) years' experience as a medical assistant or EMT-B certification required
  • CMA, AAMA, RMA, CNMA, or CCMA Medical Assistant certification preferred

Estimated salary range for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 annually, depending on experience.
