Job Summary:

Cantia Search is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Manager to join our organization. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our Accounts department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Accounts team, comprising 3 Accounts assistants, to ensure efficient and effective financial operations.
  • Oversee treasury management, including payment approvals and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare and process monthly payroll, including summarizing, checking, and paying payroll, as well as posting journals and paying CSA/other deductions of earnings.
  • Process weekly timesheets, allocating costs to the correct projects.
  • Maintain and manage the Fixed Asset register.
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Create and manage projects within Sage 200, ensuring accurate contract values and contract budgets.
  • Prepare and submit monthly CIS returns and issue monthly subcontractor statements.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of financial compliance and regulation, specifically within CIS.
  • Excellent IT and financial systems skills.
  • Ability to work independently with supervision and guidance as required.

Industry Experience:

We are seeking a candidate with financial experience within an Engineering/Manufacturing/Construction background.
