Job Title: Head of Environmental Sustainability

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Compliance Manager to lead the implementation of environmental policies and practices within our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing environmental strategies and action plans, as well as promoting and raising awareness of emerging environmental issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement environmental management systems, including ISO 14001.
  • Lead the Environmental team and provide positive leadership, guidance and mentoring for internal development.
  • Assist project teams in the production of Environmental Management Plans (EMPs) and associated documentation.
  • Review environmental management requirements in Work Packages (WPPs).
  • Provide support and advice to project teams regarding consent applications and SWMPs.
  • Identify, develop and deliver environmental training for personnel with specific environmental responsibilities.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in environmental management within a managerial or leadership position.
  • Experience in environmental management on major programmes of work in the construction industry.
  • Good level of computer literacy and willingness to travel with a full driving licence.
