Job Title: Laboratory Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Laboratory Supervisor to join our team at HAR Labcorp Early Development Laboratories Limited.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of technicians in the Physico Chemical Testing department, ensuring the smooth operation of laboratory activities and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the day-to-day running of the laboratories and coordinate staff workloads with the Team Leader.
  • Set up and perform various studies using appropriate instrumentation, adhering to routine and non-routine methods.
  • Critically review study protocols and suggest changes where necessary.
  • Participate in study meetings and provide input on study documentation.
  • Maintain accurate and timely study documentation, adhering to regulatory guidelines.
  • Deliver results within agreed timeframes, adapting to changes in priorities and supporting studies in non-primary areas of work.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to primary areas of work.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and ensure a clean and safe laboratory environment.
  • Provide line management, mentoring, and counseling to laboratory team members, ensuring compliance with GLP and SOPs.
  • Review training needs, development, and progress of staff.
Requirements:
  • Minimum A-levels or equivalent; degree in a relevant scientific field preferred.
  • Supervisory experience within a laboratory, preferably working to regulatory standards such as GLP.
  • Previous experience of staff management, including development and training, is desirable.
  • Previous experience of Physico Chemical testing is essential.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, paired with attention to detail.
