Job Description

Apex Engineering Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team in the Yorkshire area. As an Operations & Maintenance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our centralised community energy projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Planned Preventative and Reactive Maintenance: Undertake maintenance activities in accordance with site procedures, rules, and line management instructions to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Technical Assistance: Provide technical support to clients, contractors, and work colleagues while meeting customer service requirements and adhering to Quality Standards and HSE Objectives.
  • Customer HSE Objectives and Quality Standards: Closely manage customer HSE objectives and Quality Standards, ensuring the adoption of Safe Working Practices during maintenance and repair of the plant.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Complete internal performance management general reporting for use in producing client final reporting, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
  • Statutory and Mandatory Inspections: Ensure that Statutory and Mandatory Inspections are satisfactorily carried out and documented in line with the Company's Management System.
  • Subcontractor Management: Undertake Subcontractor Management in line with the above.
  • Callout/Standby Rota: Participate actively in the callout/standby rota as required.
Requirements
  • Sound Knowledge: Possess sound knowledge in Mechanical/Electrical engineering in a similar environment, Commercial & domestic heating engineering operating & maintaining, industrial CHP, Steam, MTHW, LTHW boilers, gas, oil, biomass plant, absorption chillers/air-conditioning plant, HVAC systems, and associated distribution systems/equipment.
  • Qualifications: Served a recognised apprenticeship and be qualified to ND/City & Guilds/NVQ level 3 in Mechanical/Electrical/Gas engineering discipline and registered to the appropriate body as required for the role.
