UK Ecology Division Leader

We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Ecologist to lead our UK ecology division at Environment Platform Wales.

This role involves working on a diverse portfolio of projects across various sectors, including public sector, water companies, residential and commercial development, renewables, and infrastructure.

You will be responsible for providing authoritative ecological advice and innovative mitigation solutions/enhancement considerations across a range of sites and schemes with varying levels of environmental and ecological sensitivities.

The estimated salary for this position is £70,000 - £90,000 per annum, depending on experience.

About the Role
  • Lead the UK ecology division and provide expert ecological advice.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of EU and UK legislation.
  • Expand and manage the current terrestrial ecology portfolio.
  • Lead protected species surveys and mitigation projects.
  • Support the development/management of junior ecologists.
