Head of Marketing & Communications

Fantastic opportunity for a passionate and experienced Head of Marketing & Communications to join a thriving commercial organisation with a focus on sustainability.

This role is hybrid, ideally working 3 days per week from the South Cambridge area and 2 days remotely, and will include occasional UK-wide travel (driving license preferred due to site locations but not essential).

We are looking for an experienced Head of Marketing & Communications who is an advocate for sustainability, has excellent people skills, and strong hands-on communications and marketing skills.

As Head of Marketing & Communications, you will be leading the creation, delivery and analysis of campaigns and activities that will promote and raise the profile of this industry leading company via online and offline marketing and PR activities, as well as events.

This is a varied Marketing & Communications role where you will be responsible for developing all aspects of the marketing and PR/communications strategy, with the support of a junior marketer and relevant marketing and digital agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement marketing and communications strategies to promote the company's brand and reputation
  • Lead the creation and delivery of campaigns and activities to raise the profile of the company
  • Manage and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including media, influencers, and partners
  • Collaborate with the marketing and digital agencies to develop and implement marketing campaigns
  • Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of marketing and communications activities

Requirements:

  • 5+ years in a senior communications, PR, or marketing role from manufacturing/utilities/renewable energy/sustainability or utilities
  • A positive, confident outlook and flexible mindset
  • Hands-on experience delivering multi-channel campaigns that raise brand awareness
  • Excellent knowledge of internal and external communications strategies
  • A degree in a relevant subject such as Communications, Marketing, PR, Journalism
  • Creative content creation skills – strong copywriting and ideally basic graphic design knowledge
  • Driving license preferred
