About the Role

The Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our Medicines Management team at North Devon District Hospital. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in delivering a high-quality medicines management service across a diverse range of wards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a medicines management service across the acute trust, including one stop dispensing, assessment of patient's own drugs, medicines reconciliation, discharge facilitation and be part of the technician checking rota as appropriate.
  • Work closely with the pharmacy team to ensure accurate and timely dispensing of medicines.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with ward staff, patients and carers to ensure seamless delivery of medicines management services.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of medicines management policies and procedures.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Registered Pharmacy Technician with a relevant qualification and experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of medicines management principles and practices.
