About the Job:
We are looking for a Laboratory Operations Lead to join our Residue Analytical Services team at HAR Labcorp Early Development Laboratories Limited in Eye, Suffolk.
As a Laboratory Operations Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the laboratory, including supervising a team of technicians and ensuring that all experimental procedures, data recording, health and safety factors, and housekeeping are completed efficiently and to the highest standards of animal welfare and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP).
Responsibilities:
- Supervising a team of technicians undertaking specific tasks in support of Residue Analytical Service studies
- Assisting in the organization of staff workloads and maintaining study documentation in compliance with regulatory guidelines
- Setting up and performing various studies using appropriate instrumentation with routine and non-routine methods
- Providing input and participating in study meetings, and critically reviewing study protocols and suggesting changes where necessary
- Maintaining a clean and safe laboratory work environment and performing routine maintenance
Requirements:
- Minimum A-levels or equivalent, with a degree in a relevant scientific field preferred
- Supervisory experience within a laboratory, preferably working to regulatory standards such as GLP
- Previous experience of staff management including development and training
- Excellent organizational and time management skills paired with attention to detail
