Job Summary:

Reed Accountancy & Finance is seeking a highly skilled Insurance Business Accountant to join their team. As an Insurance Business Accountant, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing statements, and ensuring accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cash Management: Match and allocate funds, ensuring accurate and timely financial transactions.
  • Statement Preparation: Prepare statements for underwriters, clients, and third-party accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Credit Control: Run fortnightly credit control reports, addressing queries from banks, clients, and brokers in a timely and professional manner.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare payment runs for clients and underwriters, submitting them for directors' approval.
  • Documentation Management: File all relevant documentation, including bank statements, remittance advices, and correspondence.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience in the insurance sector, with a strong understanding of financial transactions and accounting principles.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure.
  • Education: Relevant qualifications in accounting or a related field.
