**About SynOx Therapeutics**

We are a late-stage clinical biopharmaceutical company with a groundbreaking drug in development.

As Group Financial Controller, you will be instrumental in leading our finance team, overseeing all financial processes, and ensuring compliance with global regulations.

Your responsibilities will include managing day-to-day finance operations, developing comprehensive documentation of policies and procedures, and building close working relationships across the wider team.

You will also play a pivotal role in reviewing management accounts, investor reporting figures, and leading relationships with statutory auditors and other third-party professional advisers. Additionally, you will have full ownership of all global tax activities, responsibility for global expansion and compliance, and cap table management.

In this role, you will lead the development of an Information Security Management System to an ISO27001 standard and contribute to the strategic direction of the company's finances.

**Requirements:**

  1. An accountant (ACA/ACCA) with strong technical skills at a group consolidation level
  2. Proven experience in a similar role
  3. 'Self-starter' - highly organised, proactive, and efficient
  4. Strong verbal and written communication skills
  5. Experience in life sciences, ideally in a global biotech that has transitioned from pre-revenue through to commercialisation
  6. Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision
  7. 'Roll up your sleeves' attitude - willingness to get involved with any business needs even if they don't fall directly within the scope of the role

**What we offer:**

The salary is $85,000 per annum plus bonus (up to 15%), 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, 2:1 matched pension contributions, flexible hours, and the role is remote but occasional travel to Oxford may be required.
