Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Strategy Lead to join our team at 1st Executive Ltd. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in driving growth across the UK Manufacturing Sector, modernizing and improving capability and efficiency throughout the wider UK PLC.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement commercial strategies to drive business growth and profitability.
- Lead a team of professionals to coach and develop solutions aligned to the needs of Head of Strategic Sourcing.
- Collaborate with sponsors to build business cases for different routes to market, undertaking make/buy analysis and route to market analysis to determine the best value solution.
- Produce a Commercial Case to align commercial and investment decision-making, working with the commercial engagement team to ensure the statement of requirements is fully agreed and understood.
- Handover to commercial strategy and procurement teams once the commercial case is completed.
Requirements:
- Strategic knowledge of Procurement across Private and Public Sectors and complex Government Contract regulations associated with Nuclear and MOD.
- Experience of working closely with the Cabinet Office and the Ministry of Defence.
- Commercial Acumen - experienced in translating business needs into a commercial strategy and deep understanding of core commercial risks.
- Experience - must have experience of complex commercial strategies in excess of £500m in either a construction project or major complex programme (e.g., defence or rail project).
- Data-led - have the ability to review and analyze business and commercial data to create insightful recommendations.
