Salary: £29,845 - £35,904 (dependant on qualification/s and experience)

Location: Bromley

We are seeking a full-time, Level 3 qualified Room Leader to join our Bright Horizons Shortlands Day Nursery and Preschool located in Bromley. The nursery offers great links to public transport and is just a 3-minute walk to Shortlands train station. The nursery is located a 5-minute drive from Bromley high street and was rated 'Good' at our last Ofsted inspection.

This role will involve leading our Toddlers room, which supports children aged 2 to 3 years old.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor and inspire a team to deliver exceptional care and education
  • Ensure the learning environment provides consistent stimulation and engaging activities for the children, across both the indoor and outdoor areas
  • Deliver and plan rich learning opportunities and exceptional care, to help all children to develop and meet their individual milestones
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with colleagues, parents and/or carers, as well as other professionals, to meet the individual needs of each child
  • Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health and safety and safeguarding
  • Work with colleagues to maintain a positive, happy and safe environment

Requirements

  • Full and Relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification (essential)
  • Previous experience working within an Early Years setting - ideally as a Room Leader, Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator or similar
  • Sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children
  • Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with both colleagues and parents
  • Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults
