Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Box Finance Team Member to join our team. This is a critical role that will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial processes.

The successful candidate will have strong financial literacy, with knowledge of bookkeeping and payroll. They will also have experience with financial software packages, ideally Xero. A Training or education in finance and accounting is required.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Oversight of accounts payable, receivable, and bank reconciliations
  • Preparation of weekly payment runs for approval by Directors
  • Maintenance of accurate and up-to-date bookkeeping in Dext and Xero
  • Raising invoices for venue hires and ensuring timely payments
  • Assistance with payroll, starter forms, and management of holiday/sick accruals
  • Assistance with financial aspects of stock and sales management
  • Reconciliation of daily cash reports from Duty Managers
  • Undertaking month-end processes, including account reconciliations and verifications
  • Assistance with monitoring cash flow and financial planning
  • Assistance with annual budgeting and forecasting
  • Ensuring adherence to relevant laws and regulations
  • Ensuring compliance with VAT rules and assistance in preparing quarterly VAT returns
  • Working with external accountants on annual accounts & corp tax return
  • Management of the finance email inbox and taking timely, appropriate action
  • Collaboration with other departments to provide financial guidance & support decision-making
  • Resolution of queries with team members, suppliers, and customers promptly
  • Support in liaising with external accountants
  • Enhancement of financial processes and systems to improve accuracy, efficiency, and compliance
