Job Description

At NHS, we are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our Digital Pharmacy Team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in pharmacy and IT systems, with the ability to configure and maintain digital pharmacy systems.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Liaise with stakeholders in Pharmacy to build and maintain digital pharmacy systems, including drug catalogues, stock management, manufacturing worksheets, and medicines sets.
  2. Support the digital pharmacy team with the piloting and testing of digital pharmacy developments and upgrades prior to going live.
  3. Work closely with the Lead Informatics Pharmacy Technician and other stakeholders to ensure digital pharmacy projects are delivered as per agreed project plans.
  4. Support the development of robust policies, standard operating procedures, and work instructions pertaining to the use of digital pharmacy systems.
Requirements:
  • Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a UK Pharmacy Technician.
  • Level 3 QCF Diploma in Pharmacy Service Skills (NVQ) or equivalent.
  • Post-registration experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a hospital setting.
  • Configuration of Systemic Anticancer Therapy including aseptic compounding in the EPR system.
Estimated Salary:

£35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
