Paediatric Nurse

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic newly qualified Paediatric Nurse to join our team. As a Paediatric Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to children and young people, working closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Main Responsibilities- Assess patients' needs and develop, implement, and evaluate programmes of care.
- Organise the delivery of nursing care, deploying staff effectively.
- Communicate effectively with team members, patients, and families, ensuring that all relevant information is shared.
- Adhere to NMC standards of record keeping and maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
- Participate in nursing audit and service improvement activities, contributing to the development of evidence-based practice.
- Be aware of resource constraints and work within budget to ensure efficient use of resources.
- Provide advice and act as a role model to other members of the team, promoting a culture of excellence and professionalism.
- Be proactive in managing risk and maintaining patient safety, identifying and mitigating potential risks.
- Supervise the work of nursing support staff, ensuring tasks are delegated appropriately and that staff are supported to develop their skills and knowledge.
- Contribute to the day-to-day management of the Directorate, working collaboratively with colleagues to provide an appropriate level of nursing service.
- Participate in education and training of junior staff, promoting a culture of learning and development.
- Involve patients and carers in the planning and delivery of care, ensuring that their needs and preferences are respected and met.
- Participate in clinical supervision, reflecting on practice and identifying areas for improvement.
- Assist in resolving conflict and defusing tense situations, promoting a positive and respectful work environment.
