Role Overview: As a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant, your primary responsibility is to facilitate the learning and well-being of students with complex communication needs, ensuring they have the best chance to fulfill their potential in a nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students' emotional and educational development, fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with class teachers to deliver engaging and differentiated educational activities.
  • Adapt to the evolving needs of the school environment, providing assistance wherever necessary.

Requirements:

  • Experience in SEN environments, either in a professional or voluntary capacity.
  • Possession of a full UK driving license and access to own transportation (desirable).
  • GCSE Maths and English at Level 3 or above (essential).
  • Level 3 qualification in Support work for Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
  • Understanding of Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures.
  • Knowledge or experience working with SEN or SEMH/ASD students.
  • Flexibility, creativity, and a child-centric approach.
