About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Apprentice Marine Workshop Engineer to join our team at Gardline, a part of the Boskalis group of companies.

As an Apprentice Marine Workshop Engineer, you will be responsible for providing a skilled mechanical engineering and technical service for the marine workshop, ensuring a high standard and quality of work in the marine workshop and on vessels.

You will be involved in repairing and maintaining the company's fleet of survey vessels, at any location worldwide, and ensuring timely completion. Additionally, you will carry out class machinery surveys as instructed by superintendents and ensure that all Health, Safety & Environmental company policies are adhered to and promote safe working practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide skilled mechanical engineering and technical service for the marine workshop
  • Maintain a high standard and quality of work in the marine workshop and on vessels
  • Repair and maintain the company's fleet of survey vessels at any location worldwide
  • Carry out class machinery surveys as instructed by superintendents
  • Ensure adherence to Health, Safety & Environmental company policies
Requirements
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable in a changing environment
  • Personal drive and a focus on health and safety
  • Willingness to undertake level 3 Engineering Fitter Qualification
  • Level 2 Math's and English
  • Team spirit together with a proactive and diligent work ethic
