**Learning Support Practitioner Role**

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Learning Support Practitioner to join our team at Novus. As a member of our education team, you will play a vital role in supporting the education department and promoting learning opportunities for new arrivals.

About Your Responsibilities

">

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Offering education inductions to new arrivals and promoting learning opportunities within the education department
  • Conducting research on educational backgrounds, administering basic skills assessments, and screening for any LDD needs
  • Developing and implementing learning support plans to support inclusion across the curriculum

About You

">

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An understanding of how people learn and methods that can be used to enhance a learning experience
  • A track record of working effectively with people presenting challenging behaviour
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good IT skills
  • To hold or be willing to work towards level 2 qualifications in literacy, numeracy within an agreed timescale
  • To hold or be willing to work towards a level 2 or 3 qualification for Learning Support Practitioners within an agreed timescale
