A well-established accounting firm in a convenient location, offering a comfortable work environment and easy access to public transport.
The team has grown over the years to a comfortable size, big enough to meet clients' requirements and offer progression, but small enough so that you feel like a true team member.
The role –
The firm has engaged Reed to recruit a qualified Senior Accountant to join as Accounts & Tax Manager in response to a growing need for their services.
As Accounts & Tax Manager, your primary focus will be the creation and completion of financial statements and associated tax returns for a selection of clients, for the Directors' sign off. You will partner with a dedicated Payroll Manager and Senior Bookkeeper to produce the figures.
Some of the work the firm is bringing in is more complex, including tax planning, probate, and IHT. There will be an opportunity for you to develop your knowledge in this area also.
At present, the Accounts & Tax Manager post does not have immediate staff responsibilities, but as part of the growth plans of the firm, they will be recruiting Trainees, which this post will mentor.
The desired applicant –
To be considered, you should have trained and qualified in an accounting practice, either for a UK firm or working to regulations easily transferable to UK GAAP. You will likely be a Senior Accountant or equivalent, looking for that next step.
You will be comfortable working in a dynamic small and close team, excited by the idea of joining a firm that is about to embark on a path of growth and the responsibility of the role as it evolves.
