We are seeking an experienced Principal EICA Engineer to join our team in the Essex & Suffolk region.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Regional Discipline Lead - EICA and be responsible for leading the development of EICA design deliverables, ensuring they meet specifications and can be constructed effectively.

Job Description

This role involves working on a variety of water and wastewater schemes, with an estimated total value of £280M.

As a Principal EICA Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Producing expert-level EICA design deliverables that are cost-effective, meet specification requirements, and can be constructed and commissioned effectively.
  • Ensuring standard practices are utilized where possible.
  • Maintaining competitiveness.
  • Providing estimates and feedback for proposals.
  • Working to procedures and processes to ensure departmental development.
  • Assisting in developing procedures and processes.
  • Monitoring and reviewing procedures and processes.
  • Writing, updating, and monitoring efficient procedures to aid smooth departmental operations.
  • Ensuring coordination of designs with all other disciplines internal and external to MWH Treatment.
  • Maintaining files and records throughout contract duration.
  • Assuring customer satisfaction.
  • Working within a culture where customer satisfaction is recognized as key to achieving other objectives.
  • Maintaining personal development plans.
  • Assisting in supervising and developing staff.
  • Ensuring safe working environments for all staff.
  • Reducing waste from all departmental activities.
  • Ensuring designs take account of environmental issues.
  • Ensuring design takes full regard of all health and safety requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and leadership skills, with a strong understanding of EICA design principles and practices.

A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role is required, along with a relevant degree in a field such as civil engineering or a related discipline.
