About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at MWH Treatment. As a key member of our Engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality design solutions for our water and wastewater schemes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design of mechanical systems for our water and wastewater projects, ensuring they meet the required specifications and can be constructed and commissioned effectively.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to develop site/plant 3D models and ensure design outputs are coordinated across all technical disciplines.
  • Develop and maintain standard designs and practices, ensuring they are utilized wherever possible.
  • Deliver design stage outputs within agreed timescales and budgets, maintaining competitiveness and providing estimates and feedback for the Proposals department.
  • Establish working relationships with construction staff and supply chain representatives to promote buildability and supply chain efficiency in design outputs.
  • Work to procedures and processes to ensure the continuing development of the department, assisting in developing and monitoring efficient procedures to aid the smooth running of the department.
  • Ensure coordination of designs with all other disciplines internal and external to MWH Treatment, maintaining files and records throughout the duration of contracts.
  • Assure customer satisfaction, working within a culture where satisfying the customer is recognized as the key to achieving other objectives.
  • Maintain a personal development plan, assisting in supervising and developing staff, and ensuring a safe working environment for all staff.
  • Reduce waste to a minimum from all departmental activities, ensuring designs take account of environmental issues and comply with CDM 2015 Regulations and health and safety requirements.
