Interim Finance Director

Hays Accountancy and Finance is seeking an experienced Interim Finance Manager to join our client, a fast-growing Tech business based in Cheltenham. This is a 3-month interim position, covering the Group Finance Manager role while we conduct a permanent recruitment campaign.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage the group's financial activities, providing strategic insights and commercial direction.
- Utilise PowerBI to drive strong data analysis and inform business decisions.
- Take ownership of the month-end close, ensuring accuracy and timely completion of financial reporting.
- Oversee the budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes to support decision-making.
- Provide financial analysis and insight to support the leadership team in commercial opportunities and business planning.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners.
- Ensure robust internal controls and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Support M&A activity, contributing to financial due diligence and integration.
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent.
- Strong commercial acumen with proven experience in a fast-paced, growth-focused business.
- Hands-on experience with financial processes, including month-end close, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of influencing senior stakeholders.
- Tech-savvy with the ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic industry.
- Prior experience in the technology sector is advantageous, but not essential.
