About the Opportunity:

Opogo Education is seeking an exceptional Year 5 Teacher to join our community from January to July 2024. This exciting role offers a chance to work with a dynamic and motivated Year 5 class, fostering a love for learning and academic growth.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons that promote curiosity, creativity, and inclusivity while supporting the academic and personal development of every child.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement high-quality lessons aligned with the national curriculum, ensuring all pupils achieve their full potential.
  • Monitor student progress, providing support and guidance to ensure each child thrives in a nurturing environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, promoting strong relationships with pupils, parents, and staff.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities and the school's ethos, embodying the values of Opogo Education.

Requirements:

  • Possesses Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience teaching in Key Stage 2, particularly Year 5 (desired but not essential).
  • Is committed to creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Holds a passion for education and a willingness to contribute to the school's community and values.

Estimated Salary: £33,600 - £44,800 per annum
