The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong background in environmental project management, with experience in leading teams to deliver high-quality projects within specific time and cost constraints. The successful candidate will be responsible for formulating tender responses, coordinating with internal departments and third-party suppliers, and providing comprehensive proposals that maximize commercial benefits.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced project manager to join our environmental commercial team and contribute to our CSR initiative, Goal 14: Life below Water. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing current and new offshore environmental, marine mammal mitigation, and noise monitoring projects.

Noise monitoring and mitigation are critical components of managing the environmental impact of offshore activities, particularly on marine life. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of noise monitoring and mitigation strategies and be able to effectively communicate these to stakeholders.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating and managing projects to ensure all financial, contractual, and other obligations are met in accordance with the agreed terms of reference and company standards.
  • Assessing, preparing, and submitting tenders, as well as reviewing and critiquing tender and project materials prepared by team members.
  • Mentoring and guiding junior team members to develop their skills and experience.
  • Reviewing and executing contracts according to the Quality Assurance System, including risk management, budget control, performance review, and client feedback.
  • Liaising with other GMSL companies, group companies, and external clients.
  • Building effective client relationships and conducting client visits and presentations.
  • Assisting in business development and marketing efforts for the Gardline Group.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
  • Knowledge and understanding of marine mammal mitigation and noise monitoring.
  • Experience in a similar or related role, including team-based leadership.
  • A solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to lead and deliver projects in all key business areas from implementation to completion.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in project, commercial, strategic, and/or financial roles, preferably in the marine/survey industry.
