Job Summary

Pertemps TM is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vocational Skills Instructor to join our team. As a key member of our education department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality vocational curriculum programs to adult learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Curriculum Delivery
    • Develop and deliver vocational curriculum programs using diverse approaches to meet the needs of adult learners.
    • Set, monitor, and assess learners' outcomes and progress to ensure maximum achievement and success.
  • Teaching and Classroom Duties
    • Teach and incorporate employability skills, including functional Maths, English, and Digital Skills, to equip learners with essential skills for the workforce.
    • Provide course-related information, advice, and assessments to guide learners and ensure they meet program requirements.
    • Ensure proper enrollment and tracking of learners' attendance and achievement to maintain accurate records.
  • Program Development
    • Prepare and assess learners' work to facilitate program completion and ensure learners meet program requirements.
    • Design and develop courses aligned with Pertemps TM's service objectives to meet the needs of adult learners.
    • Disseminate course information to relevant parties to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Professional Development
    • Stay updated on professional developments and participate in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programs to maintain expertise and enhance teaching skills.
    • Attend and contribute to team and service meetings to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
    Requirements
    • Qualifications and Training
      • Minimum Level 3 Teaching Qualification with a commitment to achieving Level 4, ongoing CPD.
      • Relevant degree or higher qualification, Assessor/Verification Qualification, First Aid Qualification (desirable).
    • Experience
      • Proven experience in teaching adults, successful learner achievement, working with diverse adult learners.
      • Curriculum development, experience with OFSTED inspection framework (desirable).
    • Knowledge and Awareness
      • Understanding of adult learning contexts and success factors.
      • Knowledge of local adult learning needs, experience with blended/hybrid learning environments (desirable).
    • Skills and Abilities
      • Strong ICT/Digital skills, effective communication, interpersonal skills, commitment to equality and diversity in learning support.
