About the Role

">

The Senior Contract Manager will be responsible for overseeing multiple projects, including financial management, talent development, project coordination, compliance, business development, resourcing, and asset management.

You will work closely with our commercial director to monitor cost flows and forecast upcoming costs, negotiate costs with suppliers and field teams, and develop succession plans for the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Planning: Oversee finances on jobs, produce costings, analyze gaps, and provide finance reports and budgets for directors monthly.
  • Talent Acquisition: Develop succession plans for the team and support goals to be achieved.
  • Project Implementation: Oversee multiple projects ranging in scale, producing technical writing/methodology reports of projects to clients and division.
  • Health and Safety Management: Ensure full compliance on all sites, monitor health and safety across the team, and create positive interventions to improve site quality and safety.
  • Business Development: Act as a link between business development and the team, working closely to price jobs on large contracts and manage business, supporting tendering for work.
  • Resource Allocation: Manage project allocation, utilize skillset and knowledge within the team, and adapt workload to fit business needs.
  • Asset Management: Understand project requirements and source equipment where required, putting together business cases for new equipment needs.
  • Project Budget: Oversee regional projects in excess of £6m annually.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need 5+ years of experience working within the rail industry or similar, along with 5+ years of management experience within a similar industry.

You will also require industry knowledge of arboriculture and/or rail, excellent stakeholder engagement skills, and a full UK driving license, with frequent travel required.
