Job Description

Site Engineer

Milestone Infrastructure is seeking a skilled Engineer to join our Oxfordshire Projects delivery team. As an Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering major highways improvement schemes throughout Oxfordshire.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage engineering activities, including control, setting out, and direction to the workforce, ensuring compliance with project design and specifications.
  • Ensure the highest Health, Safety & Environmental standards are maintained across all projects, adhering to our health and safety policy and supporting our Injury Free Environment culture.
  • Meet client expectations and maintain excellent communication with project stakeholders.
  • Survey and Engineering Control - Responsible for checking sub-contractor and direct labour works.
  • Materials ordering and approvals.
  • Collaborate with the Site Agent to monitor HSEQ aspects of the project, including the Project Health and Safety File.
  • Assist with the permit process, including CAT scanning and issuing Permits.
  • Maintain accurate records, including site diary, records of works activities, resource allocations, and as-built information using AutoCAD.
  • Contribute to collaborative planning for site work.

Requirements:

  • A good level of experience in civil engineering and workforce supervision, including earthworks, drainage, structures, and Highways.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with clients, colleagues, and sub-contractors.
  • Ability to remain flexible and adapt to change, driving improvement through your work.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to juggle priorities and multi-task for multiple stakeholders.
  • Document review, including the use of AutoCAD for planning and take-off.
  • A passion for achieving an Injury Free Environment, with a commitment to caring for people's safety.
  • A drive to improve performance, doing everything to the best of your ability and making the most of every situation.
