Job Title: Social Media Lead

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Social Media Lead to join our team at JD Sports. As a key member of our marketing department, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive social media strategy that drives engagement, growth, and revenue across our JD Sports and JD Football channels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a data-driven social media strategy that aligns with our business objectives and targets.
  • Manage a team of social media executives and assistants to ensure workload is distributed evenly and projects are delivered on time.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including paid social, studio, and activation teams, to ensure social media content is delivered on time and meets quality standards.
  • Work closely with the social lead to develop and execute channel-by-channel strategies, ensuring a consistent and engaging brand voice across all social media platforms.
  • Monitor and analyze social media performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing data-led solutions to optimize content and platform performance.
  • Ensure the social media team takes a data-led approach to content and platform performance, using metrics such as revenue, sessions, and cost of sales to inform decision-making.
  • Represent the business at events and ensure the capture and upload of relevant social media content.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a social media management role, with a track record of leading on social media strategy for a large organization.
  • Exceptional functional competence and confidence in managing large social media budgets and ensuring a return on investment for the business.
  • Ability to grow and develop social media accounts in terms of engagement and revenue using data analysis.
  • Experience with contract negotiations and on-boarding of new platforms at scale.
  • Capable of delivering a full social media campaign from concept to creation to evaluation.
