About the Role

Dunbar Education is seeking a highly skilled and experienced History teacher to lead our History department. As Head of History, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies for teaching and learning in the History department, leading curriculum planning and implementation, and driving professional development within the department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategies for teaching and learning in the History department
  • Lead curriculum planning and implementation
  • Drive professional development within the department
  • Contribute to the school's overall academic success

Requirements
  • A relevant degree in History or a related field
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Proven teaching experience at secondary level, ideally within a similar setting
  • Passion for inspiring students and fostering a love for history
