Lead a Thriving History Department

Dunbar Education is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of History to join an Ofsted 'good' 11-16 mixed academy in a picturesque location.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategies for teaching and learning in the History department
  • Lead curriculum planning and implementation
  • Drive professional development within the department
  • Inspire and motivate both students and staff
  • Contribute to the school's overall academic success
The Ideal Candidate
  • A relevant degree in History or a related field
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Proven teaching experience at secondary level, ideally within a similar setting
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of departmental success
  • Passion for inspiring students and fostering a love for history
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
