Job Summary

As a Practice Support Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting GP practices in Derby and Derbyshire.

You will be responsible for promoting the range of general practice advice and liaison services provided by the NHS and developing new liaison initiatives and meetings to support GP practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote general practice advice and liaison services to GP practices.
  • Develop and implement new liaison initiatives and meetings to support GP practices.
  • Provide input at board meetings as required.
  • Deliver high-quality advisory and liaison support services to GP practices.
  • Maintain knowledge of GMS PMS APMS and NHS contractual regulations.
  • Provide advice, guidance, and signposting on regulatory, legal, partnership, complaints, and performance matters.
  • Maintain knowledge of contracting and commissioning developments, including PCNs, ICS, and ICB.
  • Develop a good working relationship with internal and external colleagues to ensure mutual understanding of policy or service implementation.
  • Respond to non-clinical related queries from GP practices and NHS organisations in a prompt and professional manner.
