Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Construction Cost Control Specialist to join our team at Recco, a leading Design & Build and Refurbishment specialist in the residential and commercial sectors across London and the Southeast.

This is an exciting opportunity for a quantity surveyor to play a pivotal role in managing the financial aspects of our construction projects. As a key member of our project teams, you will collaborate closely with engineers, subcontractors, and clients to analyse project expenses, prepare estimates, and monitor costs throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Cost Estimation and Analysis: Prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for construction projects, taking into account various factors such as materials, labour, and equipment costs.
  2. Project Cost Management: Collaborate with project teams to track and manage project costs, identifying areas of variance and implementing strategies to ensure financial control.
  3. Budgeting and Forecasting: Analyse project budgets, expenses, and variances to provide detailed reports on project financial performance and identify opportunities for cost optimisation.
  4. Solicitor and Supplier Contract Review: Review subcontractor and supplier contracts to ensure they align with our business objectives and negotiate favourable terms.
  5. Financial Reporting: Provide regular financial reports to stakeholders, highlighting key trends and areas for improvement.
  6. Mentoring and Development: Mentor and guide junior quantity surveyors, fostering their professional growth and development within the company.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. In return, we offer a competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits including pension scheme, health insurance, and professional development opportunities.
