Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Delivery Manager to join our team at the Department for Work and Pensions. As a key member of our programme management team, you will be responsible for leading and delivering complex projects and programmes that drive business change and improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership: Lead and manage cross-functional teams to deliver projects and programmes that meet business objectives and requirements.
  • Change Management: Develop and implement effective change management strategies to ensure successful adoption and embedding of new processes and systems.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior leaders, programme sponsors, and project teams.
  • Risk and Issue Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks and issues that may impact project delivery and programme success.
  • Communication and Reporting: Develop and maintain effective communication and reporting plans to ensure stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience of leading and managing complex projects and programmes in a fast-paced business environment.
  • Change Management: Experience of developing and implementing effective change management strategies to drive business change and improvement.
  • Stakeholder Management: Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at all levels.
  • Risk and Issue Management: Experience of identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks and issues that may impact project delivery and programme success.
  • Communication and Reporting: Excellent communication and reporting skills, with the ability to develop and maintain effective communication and reporting plans.
Desirable Skills
  • Agile Methodologies: Experience of working with Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
  • Commercial Awareness: Strong commercial awareness and understanding of business operations and processes.
Working Arrangements

This role is based in the UK and requires regular travel to meet with stakeholders and project teams. The successful candidate will be required to work flexibly to meet the needs of the business and programme.
