Laboratory Analyst

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Analyst to join our team at Eurofins UK Food Testing. As a Laboratory Analyst, you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely chemical analysis to support the core business of EMS.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure testing of samples is carried out within agreed timescales and with strict adherence to written methods and procedures.
• Participate in verification checks and assure all information recorded and acted upon.
• Take part in External and Internal Quality Assurance schedules to assure competency and complete associated documentation.
• Perform chemical preparation, maintenance of equipment, and cleaning duties as required.
• Manage inventory and stock control.
• Report any unsafe or poor working practices in the lab.
• Record all tests undertaken.
• Liaise with personnel at all levels as required.

Requirements

• Proven experience within a Chemistry laboratory.
• Familiarity with and proficiency in Chemical Testing and interpretation of results.
• Familiarity with the wider aspects of food chemistry.
• Working knowledge of UKAS principles for Laboratory Accreditation to ISO17025.
• Ability to work alone or as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills - both written and verbal.
• Computer literacy.
