About the Role

The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team in Paediatrics and Teenagers and Young Adults. As a Band 7 Occupational Therapist, you will play a key role in providing high-quality, evidence-based care to patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualised therapeutic rehabilitation programmes for patients with cancer and their carers.
  • Take a lead role in areas of advanced clinical practice in oncology and palliative care, providing a consultative resource for other Occupational Therapists.
  • Assess and prescribe complex wheelchair and specialist seating needs for patients with cancer.
  • Supervise and oversee the professional development of junior staff and undergraduate students.
  • Contribute to education programmes for staff within the hospital and externally.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy recognised by the UK College of Occupational Therapists.State Registration with the Health & Care Professions Council for Occupational Therapy.Significant postgraduate clinical experience in oncology, with a minimum of one year's experience.Evidence of experience in clinical supervision and appraisal.Post-grad study days/courses in oncology/palliative care.How to Apply
