About the role

In this position, you will manage a caseload of vulnerable children and young people who may be on Child Protection, Child in Need, and Looked After Children plans.

  • Safety planning to ensure the well-being and protection of children and young people.
  • Completing assessments and direct work with children and families to identify their needs and develop strategies to support them.
  • Participating in Initial Child Protection Conferences, Core Group Meetings, and Child in Need Meetings to coordinate the delivery of services.
  • Providing court reports, including Section 7 and 37 reports, to ensure that the needs of children and young people are represented.

About the salary

The estimated annual salary for this role is between £38,000 - £45,000, depending on experience and location.

About the required skills and qualifications

  • A professional social work qualification, such as CQSW or DipSW, or other relevant qualification recognized by Social Work England.
  • An active Social Work England registration.
  • Able to use evidence and professional judgement to make decisions and determine the risk of future harm.
