Job Title: Mathematics Teacher (with SEMH Specialism)

Excell Supply, a specialist school in Welshpool, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mathematics Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong passion for teaching Maths and Science, as well as a genuine interest in supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teaching and Learning: Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in Maths across KS3 and KS4, as well as teaching a small proportion of Science lessons.
  • Student Support: Adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students with SEMH challenges.
  • Pupil Progress: Build positive relationships with students, encouraging participation and progress.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues to develop individual education plans (IEPs) and provide targeted support.
  • School Community: Contribute to the wider school community, including pastoral care and extracurricular activities.
About You

We are looking for an enthusiastic educator who is committed to helping every student reach their full potential. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students who require additional support, as well as a strong passion for teaching Maths and Science.

Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Subject Knowledge: Strong subject knowledge in Maths and the ability to teach Science to a basic level.
  • Personal Qualities: Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
  • Experience: A genuine interest in supporting students with SEMH needs.
  • Certification: Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Competitive Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
