Microbiologist Associate

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Microbiologist Associate to join our team at iPP Analytics Limited. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to microbiological testing and analysis.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine and specialist biomedical investigations, including specimen reception and processing, under the supervision of Biomedical Scientists.
- Participate in and assist with clinical trials, the development of new tests, and research & validation of equipment, ensuring compliance with all policies and regulatory directives.
- Utilize laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and other application software according to authorized protocols, including data entry and analysis.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and senior staff, referring complex information and results as necessary.
- Attend and participate in laboratory meetings and training sessions, as directed by Laboratory managers.
- Plan and prioritize work allocations, training plans, and audits, responding to the needs of routine and urgent activities.
- Provide supervision, training, and professional leadership to junior staff, monitoring their performance and training plans.
- Encourage active participation in continuous professional development and support the introduction of new technologies and systems.
- Use consumables and equipment responsibly, and be responsible for stock control audits and recording.
- Report incidents and adverse events to senior staff, and enter information in the CAPA module of Q-pulse in a timely manner.
- Relevant NVQ level 3 plus additional theoretical and applied training to Level 4 diploma equivalent level.
- Proven basic working knowledge of a diagnostic laboratory, preferably Microbiology.
- Previous experience in an AP or MLA role desirable.
- Knowledge of computer applications and LIMS, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Statistical Packages.
